Rod joined our staff, as the Director of Family Ministries, in June 2010. He oversees Marriage and Parenting ministry, while focusing on teaching, equipping and discipling men in their role as husbands and fathers. He is passionate about seeing the Lord build and strengthen families as they grow in centering their lives on loving, serving, obeying and pleasing Jesus Christ.
Before joining the Canyon Ministry Team, Rod taught Chemistry at PHS for 15 years where he greatly valued opportunities provided by the Lord to minister to students, parents, and faculty/staff members. As a staff member at PHS, his desire was to be as strong a witness for Christ as were the teachers and coaches who discipled and helped him grow as a new Christian during his middle and high school years.
Rod and his wife Kim have been married for 19 years and have four children. They enjoy spending their time serving together, playing games, taking road trips and building relationships with family and friends.
