Here at Harvest Bible Chapel of Prescott we do not have a separately focused men's ministry. We believe that the development of discipleship and leadership of the men of our church should be integrated into all of the adult ministries.
Men who seek to be disciples of Jesus Christ must have Christ at the center of all aspects of their lives...and not as an add-on. That is reflected in our ministry and service opportunities.
Discipleship opportunities that we have for men include:
Men@War
(Friday and Saturday editions)
The concept of "Men at War" is taken from 1Pe 2:11 where men are warned that a war is waged against their soul.
Men@War is a weekly hour-long fellowship for men. Men of the church get together for coffee, doughnuts, worship, teaching from God's Word, and discussion/mutual-ministry time around tables.
The teachings are not pre-packaged Bible studies but taken directly from Scripture and share the hard-hitting truth that men who seek to be disciples of Jesus Christ need. Men@War fosters an atmosphere of transparency, of "being real" with other men who are dealing with the same challenges in their call to holy living, and leaders of their homes and community.

Men's Retreat
Every year or so we have a men's retreat at a local camp. This is an extended time (approximately 20 hours) for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and relationship building through activities like: horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and paintball.
These retreats aren't THE event of the year, but they are significant milestones in ongoing ministry and discipleship. Existing relationships are strengthened and new relationships are formed as the men of the church continue in their discipleship growth.
Discipleship Events
Approximately twice a year we have evening events specifically designed for exhortation and encouragement for men. These "mini retreats" include a guest speaker, activities, and great food. Events in the past included "Power Encounter" with Clarence Lee, and a Pig Roast with actual pigs being roasted on the church property.
These are great times of fellowship as well as reaching out to coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends who haven't received the gift of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
Men's Prayer
Harvest Bible Chapel Prescott was birthed in prayer, direction is sought in prayer, and sustained in prayer. Men's prayer meetings offer an opportunity for the men of the church to pray for guidance, protection, and provision, of not only the church but for the needs of the saints as well. It is the most powerful hour that a disciple of Jesus Christ can spend. There are two prayer meetings held each week:
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30am, @ the Harvest ministry center and offices on Long Look Dr in Prescott Valley and at Richard Padgett's offices on 930 Black Dr in Prescott.
